The Product and Process Development Leader is responsible for the technical specification of the project and the feasibility of the process, aligned with the objectives set for program planning, quality and costs. He / she applies the Group's standards following the Faurecia Excellence System and using the Program Management System (PMS) to guide the concept and design detail of a product, instrument and / or equipment.
The main missions of the role are to:
- Manages a Program File in Project Data Management (PDM) (including roles and rights), maintaining the appropriate product and process parameters.
- Manages the technical aspects of the program; Prepares and updates all technical documentation related to the project; Ensure that the technical convergence plan respects the cost and quality objectives of the products.
- Verify that the deadlines set for the PMS technical objectives are met; It defines the BOP-Bought Out Parts and assures the suppliers' compliance with the technical requirements.
- Coordinates relationships with technical equipment suppliers, working with engineers and experts.
- Is the link between the plant and the team of engineers of the customer.
- Set up the action plan for critical situations.
- Apply Faurecia's industrial policies and instructions (Production System Efficiency, Suppliers Chain, Ergonomics)
- Collaborates with the industrial engineer so that the product and process features are already checked when production is started.
- The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Experience in Design & Development within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry
- Knowledge and experience in the Project Management process
- Good knowledge of Program standards, tools, and methods
- Familiar with primary manufacturing methods
- Team player with strong communication skills
- International mind set
- Preferably bi-lingual (English required)
